title Mesoamerican artifacts
These are some of the MesoAmerican artifacts in the National Museum of American Indians in New York City, which I visited in December 2012. These pictures were taken with a cell phone with no flash, through glass. I fixed them up a bit with Photoshop but I can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. This is about half of their Meso collection.

The museum is free. It's right next to Battery Park and a couple of blocks from Ground Zero. It has a really nice gift shop. I hope my poor pictures encourage you to visit the museum in person next time you're in New York City.
