Allison Kline of MishMash, Our Featured Designer for November! Necessity is the mother of invention or at least it is Allison Kline' s case. Her MishMash line was born when she needed an iPod case and grew to include durable and sassy totes and bags. Creating and crafting is in Allison's genes. She credits her grandmother and mother for teaching her needlepoint and sewing. She grew up making outfits for her Barbies and redesigning pieces she'd find in thrift stores. Moxie & Oliver offers traditional leather creations with a few of owner Caitlin McNamara's modern twists. After a few too many trips to her supervisor's office for dress code violations, McNamara decided she needed a subtle way to spice up her boring "professional" wardrobe. She reflected back on all the summers she spent in the Rocky Mountains learning how to tool leather and started creating her own funky, yet sophisticated belts. Her love of leatherwork expanded to purses, watches, flasks, wallets, hair clips and much more. Tired of your dull wardrobe? UFN Launch Party @ the W Hotel in Seattle

We have partnered up with a non-profit organization, the Seattle chapter of DIFFA (Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS), to help them celebrate the kickoff of their "Party at the Mansion" coming up in October, which we will be involved with as well. They have been very generous to include us in this event so please come down, meet us, help raise money for a great cause, sip cocktails and mingle!

There is a suggested donation of $15 at the door. All proceeds will go to DIFFA.

Miyuki Ott was born in Japan but now resides in Seattle, WA. She grew to love corset making after taking a course at the New York Fashion Academy. She specializes in handmade corsets and evening gowns made from the unique and colorful fabrics from Japanese Kimono Obi's.

Miyuki's designs respect the principles and philosophy behind the traditional Japanese Kimono Obi. She had the idea to mix Westeran and Eastern cultures to create her unique line, H77 Couture Corsets.
