      <title>There's world championships and then there's the TKDI World Championships!</title>
      <description>
Anyone who's been in the Taekwondo world for a while will know that every 'group' has it's own world championships (WTF call theirs 'the olympics') which they say represents 'real' Taekwondo, the true spirit of the art, blah-de-blah-de-blah!
In less than two weeks i'll be at the TKDI (Tae Kwon Do International - TAGB &amp; many other national associations from around the world) World Championships and a couple of days ago I received the ID documents for Richard who will be amongst the competitors. To give you an idea of the scale of OUR World Championships, Richard is competitior #1420, and yes they did start at #1 and no he isn't anywhere near the end of the list!
For me it's numbers that really prove a World Championships - the more the better, the more inclusive, the more open, the more truely 'world'!

      <title>World Championships officials</title>
      <description>
You may be aware that because of the size and international presence of this year's World Championships, and the many and various big names from the world of Taekwondo and representatives from numerous national and international organisations, that qualified officials have had to apply to be selected to officiate at this event.
I'm very pleased to be able to tell you that Nicky and I have been selected (Nicky as an Umpire and myself as a referee) and will be right in the middle of this huge event!

      <title>Black Belt Pre-Grading information</title>
      <description>
All Black Belts should be aware that they need to attend two pre-grading sessions per year - one spring, one autumn. I've just received the full list for all sessions held across the UK and i've put that list on the Student Resources page of the website. Be aware that some sessions are NOT open to non-grading students so do read the list carefully because it will say which are open to you and which are not!

      <title>Black Belt pregrading details</title>
      <description>
For the benefit of all the Black Belt students I have added the full details of this autumn's pregradings to the website calendar - full address and times for Master Sergiews sessions. I haven't received details for the sessions run by the other TAGB masters yet but when I do i'll let you know. Remember you need to attend two pregradings per year (one spring, one autumn), it can be under any TAGB master but you do need to be there and get your grading book signed!

      <title>World Championship medals</title>
      <description>
I forgot to mention, just a small detail . . . but all medals at the World Championships are being awarded by 9th Degree, original pioneer and legend of Taekwondo GrandMaster C.K. Choi! That'll be one heck of a picture to put on the wall for any medal-winner this year!!

      <title>Special guests at the World Championships</title>
      <description>
The lastest addition to the special guests who will be attending the World Championships is Alex Gillis, author of 'A Killing Art' who will be holding a book signing session there.
For those of you who don't know 'A Killing Art' is a recent, and in my opinion the best so far, history of modern Taekwondo and the semi-mythic figure of 'General' Choi Hong Hi.

      <title>World Championships</title>
      <description>
The following is an extract from the monthly TAGB Instructors newsletter, this extract is regarding the upcoming World Championships:

"The closing date is ONLY 14 DAYS AWAY!! For competitors and officials.
So please make sure you have got your entries in to avoid disappointment as this date will be STRICTLY enforced, as all the ID cards and numbers and allocation of areas have to be done after this date. So if countries like Australia, Argentina, Nepal &amp; South Africa can manage to do this I am sure it should be no great hardship for TAGB instructors.
SPECTATOR TICKETS: Please ensure that you get your supporters get their spectator tickets in advance of these championships as they are selling fast, and we do not wish to disappoint our own supporters."
