BUSY GIRLS FIND SWIFT SOLUTIONS ONLINE

Press release: 28th July 2009
For immediate publication

Busy Girls benefit from world’s first expert-led website to target busy women

DID you know that over half of today’s 55 million internet users are women, but that men spend 25 per cent longer online?* In a world where one in four women also do 30 minutes of housework before going to work**, it seems more and more busy girls are turning to the internet for answers to their questions – but they want those answers fast.

The Busy Girls Guide™ (www.busygirlsguide.co.uk) was launched in 2007 and has since become a must for busy professional women. The site will be re-branded and re-launched in October 2009, following extensive research into the issues faced by busy women across the world.

The Busy Girls Guide™ offers a unique concept which aims to provide solutions to some of these problems. It provides expert-led advice to help busy women across the UK and USA manage their time, with essential features, city guides, events and expert recommendations on the best time-saving products and services available across the country, plus practical, time-saving tips for a more efficient and effective lifestyle.

UK-based entrepreneur Lucy O’Neill drew on both her professional training as a business coach and her personal understanding of what makes women tick, to create a fun, practical site which speaks to women as a trusted friend.

“Women are inquisitive; we are researchers, and we want information quickly,” Lucy said. “We want to know the latest trends; we want to know all about them before we commit to them, and we want trusted recommendations. The Busy Girls Guide™ aims to provide all this, employing experts in a variety of fields, who busy girls can access both through our online guides and features, and by emailing questions directly to us.”

User input is an important feature of the site, with all advice inspired by real women’s problems and issues. Local Busy Business Girl and mother of two, Victoria Bullock, said: “Running two businesses while juggling two young boys and planning my wedding makes life seem like a constant whirlwind. Having the Busy Girls Guide™ to turn to has helped me dramatically, from how to prioritise my workload, to how to take five minutes out for myself, as well as discovering some useful local businesses.

“All the advice on the site is free and provided by experts, so it makes you feel a lot more confident when acting upon that advice.”

Lucy said: “When I trained as a coach, I realised that the more productive my days were, the more satisfied I felt. That’s the aim of the Busy Girls Guide™: to help fellow busy girls find out about products and services that could save them time, money and hassle, and help them achieve more with their days. After all, busy doesn’t have to mean stressful.”
