Pedal Patch Community (PPC) is a sustainable community venture project made up of a network of growers and supporters scattered throughout Southern California region, tended by folks who work together to grow, harvest and share tasty veggies and fruits. Utilizing both public and private land to cultivate, PPC grows organic produce and flowers for the purpose of educating communities about healthy food sources and nutrition, sustainable ecology, environmental safeguarding and community participation. In addition to it’s agricultural agenda, PPC gives back by donating 50% or more of the harvested surplus to charitable organizations to help fight hunger and connect people through food. Our mission is to develop a community supported network – PPC domain - which will allow members to network with one another, educate and inform the public about the benefits of urban agriculture, promote community activism and unity, and initiate programs, which will aid and better our communities as a whole. Pedal Patch is a community working together, on an honor system, following the golden rule and having a heck of alot of fun doing so—growing organic produce and healthy communities through urban farming and education.
