STAAD Foundation Advanced, has been recently released

A new generation of Foundation analysis and design software, STAAD Foundation Advanced, has been recently released. It replaces the STAAD.foundation software with more design codes, more functionality to basic modules, and new advanced modules.

It is very important to note that this is not an automatic update from old STAAD.foundation software. The license for STAAD Foundation Advanced is different than the license used in STAAD.foundation. So, to run this program, existing users of STAAD.foundation need to contact their respective Bentley sales representative to get a new license.

Second update on STAAD.foundation 5.3 just released

This course is an introduction to STAAD.foundation analysis and design software. Main topics include the layout of the STAAD.foundation interface, isolated footing design, pile cap design, design of MAT foundations (slab-on-grade), slab-on-piles, and combined footings. This course will focus on the American Concrete Institute (ACI) 2005 code. A short introduction to the plant modules will also be provided if time permits.

STAAD.foundation V8i (Release 5.0) is scheduled to be released in the first week of July 2009. This version is a major leap forward in addressing the foundation design needs for practicing engineers and a major upgrade to version 4.3. The workflow in STAAD.foundation has been revised to align with the practical needs of practicing engineers. Most of the development effort was dedicated to produce professional quality drawings and step by step calculation.
