STAAD Foundation Advanced, has been recently released

A new generation of Foundation analysis and design software, STAAD Foundation Advanced, has been recently released. It replaces the STAAD.foundation software with more design codes, more functionality to basic modules, and new advanced modules.

It is very important to note that this is not an automatic update from old STAAD.foundation software. The license for STAAD Foundation Advanced is different than the license used in STAAD.foundation. So, to run this program, existing users of STAAD.foundation need to contact their respective Bentley sales representative to get a new license.

A new patch for version 5.3 is just released. It is available on SELECT for download. Please make sure to select "All" under "Download Category".
Update features based on user feedbacks are,�

1) Revised reporting for isolated footing group 2) Updated meshing for mat with grade beams 3) Revised vertical vessel octagonal footing design 4) Revised reporting for combined footing

This course is an introduction to STAAD.foundation analysis and design software. Main topics include the layout of the STAAD.foundation interface, isolated footing design, pile cap design, design of MAT foundations (slab-on-grade), slab-on-piles, and combined footings. This course will focus on the American Concrete Institute (ACI) 2005 code. A short introduction to the plant modules will also be provided if time permits.
