In our view wool prices are now moving into a phase where we can expect further sustained rises over the next 12 to 18 months. At this stage it is a supply-induced rally so we still expect medium wool categories to out-perform fine wools. This should change as confidence improves further and Europeans re-enter the market. The main risk to the rally is a deterioration of world economic conditions and another significant drop in share markets.
