      <title>Edinburgh Update</title>
      <description>
Edinburgh 2009 is almost over. The response to Pete's show has been phenomenal, with sold-out performances and great feedback "the king of comedy magic" (Time Out) triumphed once more. Here's a small sample of the nice things people had to say.

Metro **** "Tickling funny bones and boggling bonces this Fringe is Pete Firman...Firman's mix of daft humour, mock exasperation and deliberate trick fluffing is so winning, there's a danger you might not appreciate just how good he is."

The List **** "Fusing jaw-dropping tricks with a fast and furious delivery of gags, he combines old school vaudeville charm with the edginess of a modern stand-up. A killer combo indeed."

Fest **** "Firman mixes hilarious gags and genuinely impressive illusions...ambitious comparisons to Tommy Cooper aren't too wide of the mark."

Pete appeared on 'The Culture Show' on BBC2, guested with Nicholas Parsons in his 'Happy Hour' and after seeing Pete at 'Best of the Fest' the fantastic Jimmy Carr had this to say to all his Twitter followers...

"saw @petefirman at best of the fest. Really funny - a comic but does magic aswell - like a modern day Tommy Cooper."

Very nice of him too.
