      <title>Critical Defect: B31.3-2010 Occasional allowable may be unconservative for T&#60;Tcr or Tcr=0</title>
      <description>
We wish to report a critical error for calculating the occasional allowable in accordance with B31.3:2010 when:

a. The model was created in program version 9.4.0 or 9.4.1
b. The "Use Alt. Occ. Allowable" option was checked in Result Model Options

Note: "Use Alt. Occ. Allowable" or Alternate Occasional allowable option is intended for materials operating in the creep range where 0.9*Syt (Austenitic) or 0.72*Syt (Non-Austenitic) instead of 1.33*Sh allowable is permitted.

This defect was corrected in v9.5.0.21, where the B31.3 Weld table column number and Tcr (Tcritical) were corrected in the global consistency check. AutoPIPE v9.5.1 maintenance release will be available for download shortly which adds additional checks and messages plus several other error fixes.

A full explanation of B31.1 and B31.3 weld reduction factors is included in PDF link below.

Please click on the link to download a full description and workaround for this defect.

Any follow-up questions please contact support@bentley.com.

      <title>October E-Seminar: How can we check nozzle loads in AutoPIPE?</title>
      <description>
In fact, the biggest limitation in the calculation of piping does not come allowable stress in the pipe but designing for acceptable loads on pressure vessels or rotating equipment.

In this e-seminar you will learn how an expert in stress analysis solves these problems with AutoPIPE tools.

Topics covered include:
* The flexibility of the nozzle using WRC 297 with alternative methods and, their impact on the the use of finite element
* The codes API 610, API617, NEMA SM23 for rotating equipment
* The calculation of stress on pressure vessels when the AutoPIPE loads on the nozzle are included using AutoPIPE Nozzle.
* The challenges working with company provided nozzle loads for their pressure vessels
* Working with tables of empirical nozzle loads to help figure out how far you are in your calculations

Jeannine Fuchs has 30 years of international experience in stress analysis and provides training in stress analysis with AutoPipe of Bentley Systems.

      <title>Oktober E-Seminar: Wie können wir Stutzenbelastungen bei AutoPIPE nachprüfen?</title>
      <description>

      <title>Ce séminaire: Comment traiter les efforts sur tubulures avec AutoPiPE?</title>
      <description>
